X-ray and Doppler facilities at the clinic mean fractures, chest problems and pregnancy check-ups can be assessed without going elsewhere. Reports are given by our consulting radiologist, Dr. Vijayalakshmi.
What is an X-ray used for?
An X-ray takes a picture of bones and some internal organs. It is most often used to check for fractures and dislocations after a fall or accident, and as a chest X-ray for cough, breathlessness or a check-up.
Because X-ray is available in the clinic, the orthopaedic surgeon and the accidental care team can assess an injury and start treatment without sending you elsewhere.
What is a Doppler scan and a fetal Doppler?
A Doppler is an ultrasound-based test that checks blood flow in blood vessels. It uses sound waves, not radiation.
A fetal Doppler is used during pregnancy to check the baby's heartbeat and blood flow. It is done on the advice of the clinic's consulting gynaecologist. As required by law, foetal sex determination is not done at this clinic.
